Live and Watch

Live and Watch. It is my life’s new motto. Everything cannot be explained or understood fully, just be pursued well at best. It is in this pursuit of preventing death and absurdity is how we find life. A surprising unlearning that I gathered recently is the benefit of seeing the world with greater sensitivity and less thought. It is a quality we already have as children but shed it off as adults in favor of complex understanding. It could be a corona-virus day of terror for a while. Afterwards it can also be a day of good weather and bright green leaves blowing gently outside the window. In such moments, it may dawn on you that your relationship with death may not be as grim, no matter how far it might be from today. To wrap my own fears together, I attempted to address my thoughts regarding my natural death. I discovered I wasn’t afraid of death in a courageous way, not due to despair. There is no child to raise yet and no bad deeds to bury. So far it means a good life ascertaining a good death, which is deeply assuring.
